What the two actually mean

One-way (drop): you go from A to B and that's it. You get out, the cab is done. You should pay for that single journey — nothing more.
Round trip: the car stays with you. It waits, takes you around, and brings you back to where you started. You're effectively renting the car and driver for the whole trip, so you pay for the full distance both ways plus any waiting.
